Frequently Asked Questions
At TLC Nurse Solutions, every aspect of your experience is designed to feel seamless and reassuring. This FAQ section offers clear, thoughtful answers to the questions we receive most often about our nurse registry and the in-home care services available throughout California. Each response reflects the same warmth, professionalism, and discretion that guide every interaction with us, so you can move forward with confidence and ease.
What is your service area?
TLC Nurse Solutions serves clients and healthcare organizations throughout California. Our nurse registry provides access to independent RNs and LVNs for in-home care, private duty support, infusion nursing, and facility coverage across the state. If a nurse is not yet available in your immediate area, we will recruit and coordinate to help create the right match.
What types of nurses are available?
Our registry connects clients with independent nurses who provide personalized in-home care for all ages. Support may be arranged for intermittent nursing needs, extended care, or continuous coverage, always delivered with comfort, trust, and discretion.
Do I need a doctor’s orders?
Yes. Most nursing services require physician orders, such as discharge instructions, treatment plans, or infusion prescriptions from your specialty pharmacy. Once matched, the independent nurse will follow those orders precisely and coordinate with your physician, care team, and pharmacy so your care remains safe, effective, and seamless.
How do I request a nurse?
To request a nurse, simply contact TLC Nurse Solutions with your care needs. Our registry thoughtfully matches each client with an independent nurse whose expertise, location, and availability align with the situation.
Nursing services are scheduled with a minimum of two hours, with four hour minimums applying to many extended care assignments and shift based support. These timeframes help ensure care remains attentive, thorough, and thoughtfully delivered.
Requests made in advance provide the best opportunity to secure a preferred nurse. Scheduling and coordination generally take place during business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Can I request short term or long term care?
Yes. Independent nurses in our registry are available for intermittent nursing support, extended care, and continuous 24/7 coverage, based on what best supports your needs and preferences.
How much does it cost?
Rates vary based on the type of nurse requested and the services provided. Nursing visits are generally scheduled with a two hour minimum for shorter nursing administrations and a four hour minimum for extended care.
TLC Nurse Solutions is a private pay registry, allowing clients the flexibility to arrange care on their own terms. Upon request, documentation may be provided to support reimbursement or alternative funding options when applicable.
How is my privacy protected?
Your privacy is treated with the highest level of care. All communications are HIPAA compliant, and every nurse in our registry completes regular HIPAA privacy and security training. This helps ensure your information remains confidential and your care is supported with professionalism, discretion, and complete respect for your personal boundaries.
Your confidence and comfort are always our priority. If you have additional questions, we invite you to reach out. Our team is here to guide you with clarity, compassion, and care.
