A Small Team With Meaningful Responsibility
Working for a growing small business is different from working within a large organization where responsibilities are divided among many departments.
Our team works closely together, shares responsibility, and helps wherever needed.
A phone call may become a new referral. A schedule may change unexpectedly. A nurse may need assistance. A healthcare partner may need an immediate response. Documentation may need review. A process may need improvement.
We value people who notice what needs attention, take initiative, communicate, follow through, and make sure important details reach completion.
The goal is not simply to complete assigned tasks. It is to understand how your work affects clients, independent nurses, teammates, healthcare partners, and the organization as a whole.
What Our Care Coordination Team Does
Every team member begins by learning the core operations of TLC Nurse Solutions. Responsibilities may include:
- Coordinating new and ongoing nursing referrals and schedules
- Responding to schedule changes, cancellations, urgent coverage needs, and client requests
- Communicating with clients, families, independent nurses, specialty pharmacies, physicians, healthcare facilities, case managers, discharge planners, and other referral partners
- Answering and responding to phone calls, emails, text messages, and faxes
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, credentialing, and supporting independent nurses
- Reviewing nursing documentation for completeness
- Assisting with client invoicing and contractor invoice processing
- Maintaining scheduling, credentialing, compliance, and operational records
- Keeping office systems accurate and up to date
- Following, maintaining, and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Identifying problems, finding solutions, and helping improve workflows
- Supporting teammates and stepping into other operational responsibilities when needed
- Participating in shared evening, weekend, and holiday on-call support
Cross-training is an important part of our structure. It allows team members to support one another, provides dependable coverage during vacations and absences, and prevents essential knowledge or responsibilities from resting with only one person.
Shared On-Call Support & Flexible Scheduling
Healthcare needs do not always occur during regular office hours, and flexibility is an important part of how we work.
Our Care Coordination & Office Operations Team shares responsibility for after-hours support during evenings, weekends, and holidays. This may include responding to urgent scheduling changes, client or nurse needs, coverage issues, or other time-sensitive operational matters.
We focus less on rigid start and end times and more on making sure responsibilities are handled, clients and nurses are supported, and the team can depend on one another. Team members have flexibility to organize their schedules around workload, on-call responsibilities, and personal needs, including a combination of time in the office and working from home when appropriate.
There are times when being together in the office is valuable for collaboration, training, communication, and supporting one another, and other times when work can be completed effectively from home. We want to use both thoughtfully.
When additional time is worked during on-call coverage, regular working hours can be adjusted to help maintain balance, with the goal of keeping schedules under eight working hours per day and 40 hours per week.
As our team grows, after-hours responsibilities are shared among more trained team members, creating greater flexibility and balance while ensuring TLC remains responsive to the clients and nurses we support.
Compensation & Growth
Starting Pay: $33–$35 per hour
Starting compensation is based on experience and qualifications. We believe in recognizing people who demonstrate strong performance, initiative, reliability, follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to take on greater responsibility.
As team members grow in their roles and contribute more to the organization, opportunities for increased compensation and professional growth may develop over time.
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
We are looking for people who genuinely care about doing things well.
Strong team members are dependable, organized, detail-oriented, responsive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative. They communicate clearly, remain calm when circumstances change, ask questions when needed, and follow responsibilities through to completion.
They do not wait to be told about every next step. They learn how the organization works, recognize what needs attention, and help move things forward.
They enjoy a responsive, changing work environment and are comfortable adjusting priorities as new needs arise. They approach unexpected calls, schedule changes, and time-sensitive requests calmly and practically, focusing on what needs to be done next.
They are also team-minded. If something needs to be handled and they can help, they help.
Healthcare office experience is valuable, but character, judgment, emotional intelligence, adaptability, professionalism, initiative, and willingness to learn are equally important. Systems can be taught. A genuine sense of responsibility and care for others matters greatly to us.
Building a Career as TLC Grows
Our current priority is continuing to build a strong Care Coordination & Office Operations Team so the day-to-day operational foundation of TLC remains well supported as we grow.
As we add qualified care coordinators and create greater operational capacity, team members will have more opportunities to develop deeper responsibilities in areas that match their strengths and the evolving needs of the organization.
In addition to care coordination, areas of specialization may include:

Other Operational Needs
As TLC continues to grow, new responsibilities and roles may develop based on the needs of the organization and the strengths of our team.
These areas are not intended to create rigid boundaries. We want people to develop expertise while continuing to understand and support the organization as a whole.
Growing the Team Thoughtfully
Our goal is to build enough depth within Care Coordination & Office Operations that core responsibilities are consistently covered without depending too heavily on any one person.
As that foundation grows, it creates room for team members to spend more time in specialized areas and allows TLC to add other positions the business needs as we continue to expand.
We believe this is how a strong small business grows: build a dependable operational foundation first, develop people from within whenever possible, add expertise where it creates value, and continue improving the organization together.
Why TLC Nurse Solutions?
We are building an organization where people can contribute ideas, learn different parts of the business, take meaningful responsibility, and grow with the company.
We provide structured training, written SOPs, cross-training, collaborative support, and opportunities to take on greater responsibility over time.
